rear end suspension?
the insides of my rear tires always seem to wear faster than the outside, significantly. Is there something that I need to attend to with the rear suspension, or is this normal?

That points to a suspension problem, I am guessing your car sits too low in the back. Do the tires look like this: / -- \ from the back (maybe not that extreme, but somewhat? They should look like this: | -- | nice and straight.

it's very hard to tell, but I can detect a slight negative camber. what causes negative camber in the back?

usually low ride height.
this could be from weak springs, too much weight in the trunk or wheels that stick out too far from the hub. tom w

too much weight - there's nothing in my trunk except an ice scraper
wheels sticking out - riding on factory 14" bundts weak springs - from what I've read on this forum, springs are the absolute last thing to look at when it comes to suspension problems can tired rear shocks cause a low ride height and negative camber?

Check the condition of components. Check trailing arms for deformity or damage. Like I've said before, mine rusted out from the inside out due to water & debris laying in the spring area. Nowhere for it to drain & the bottoms of both arms cracked. That could give severe camber & toe problems. Paul.

On my SD it sat too low from a combination of tired springs and shocks, you'd be surprised how much difference it made when I put in new springs/shocks/spring pads. It sits about 3" higher in the back now.

Have you had the alignment checked, they will normally measure the back too? According to last alignment, the rear camber should be very close to 0 degrees. I recently replaced my tires and the rears were worn perfectly evenly (actually a little more worn in the center because I run the pressure a little high).
