This guy sure lives between a rock and a hard place, but at least he drives in style!

Is that photo shopped ? That's awesome..

if it's ps'd they did a nice job. the larger image, has same distortions throughout, and the edges of the house match up perfectly to the cliff. not to mention the what appears to be mortared sections of the side buildings that form up with the cliff.

not photoshop'd

Believe it or not, this is a real house in Brittany, France. Maybe the Benz was photoshop'd in, but I doubt it.

Why does the rear of the Mercedes look so short?

truckinik 04-18-2007 05:03 PM

The rear of the car doesn't look extra short to me. It is obvious, it's a Euro car though, because of the rear bumper, etc.

Well, I can now personally swear that the photo I posted in April was NOT Photoshopped. Here's a photo I took myself less than two weeks ago, when my wife and I were in France to run the Medoc Marathon. (We visited Brittany after Bordeaux.) The Benz is gone, but the house is still there.

When we visit Europe, I make it a point to rent diesels. (Although 80% or more of the cars in France are diesels, rental agencies seem to cater to Americans and have mostly petrol cars in their fleets.) On this trip we rented a VW Golf TDI. Comfortable and peppy, but noisier than expected. With my lead foot, I averaged about 40 mpg at $5.80/gal. Last year, I rented a Renault Megane 5-door hatchback with a 1.6-litre diesel, which I liked better than the Golf AND better than the Mercedes A-class I tried in Scotland.
