Please explain lining up the flex discs. They center themselves with a pin and hole, so I don't follow. I would like to get all of the smoothness out of my driveline that I can.

I did that by installing a 5-speed. The thing buzzes like a sander now.

They mean making sure the 3 fingers on the driveshafts are aligned the same. The same way you would line up u-joints on a regular driveshaft.

Example: Set the rear driveshaft with one finger pointing straight down, insert the front shaft in the slip joint so that one of it's fingers is pointing straight down.
