I am planning a trip to Canada from NY in 2 weeks, and I will be taking my MB with me ! I have not been using any additives in the tank when I refuel. Since this will be an almost 1000 mile trip in 2-3 days, do you recommend to add anything for the trip, to clean up its nostrils ? |

I always use half a bottle of Redline 85+ diesel additive when I fill up the tank. Good stuff, many people on this message board will agree with that.

While it can't hurt to use the additive during the trip, you will burn it right out. I'd put it in before the trip so it has a few days or weeks in the tank to give it time to do the job of cleaning. Take a new fuel filter(s) with you in case you run into crappy fuel along the way. Have a good trip!
