Drive shaft sleeve nut.. need advice asap!
I am trying to remove the drivshaft sleeve nut on a 85 300 turbo 123 series and just can't get it to move. I cant get at it either because of the plate in the way ( factory welded) . There is no way you can get to that nut pictured in the Haynes manual. I am removing to install a new carrier bearing setup.
after a search I read that most just took it off by hand.. I can't. so several questions.. is it reverese thread perhaps? What size is the nut I am trying to tap it with a drift and hammer counter clockwise and nuthin. any help appreciated.. I'm in the middle of it doing it right now . I'll be thankin ya bennett

A pipe wrench on the nut and channel locks to hold the d-shaft worked for me. It's not a left hand thread.
