Does my car have a Bowden cable?

It's a 1983 240D. After I swaped engines I am having late shifts, no too bad just a tad bit....enough to scare kids and old people as I'm driving through the neighborhood. (you guys know the looks that I'm talking about!) I hear about this bowden cable adjustment but I dont know what it looks like. Thanks.

Trans shift on 1980 & later 240D's are completely vacuum controlled.
