Driveshaft Question

Well decided to go ahead and put the 617 in my girlfriends 240D, when you guys say I have to swap the drive shaft what part do you mean, the part in front of the carrier bearing , the back half, or the front part that slips on the splines, the car I got the engine and trans out of doesnt have the front part that hooks to the flex disk but the rest of the shaft is there, can I use the front part of the 240's shaft with the rest of the 300D's shaft? also can I use the 240's cross member just moved back or do I have to have a different one, i searched and seem to get mixed ideas
thank you much

Some 240Ds do not have this. It is on the front cross member and holds a L shaped piece that will cut a hole in the 617's oil pan. Remove the nut and the L, the bolt stays because it hits the suspension before it clears the cross member.

Is this a auto or manual? If it's an auto use the original 240D driveshaft and tranny cross member. If it is a stick you have to get a bit more creative.
