It will also give you the complete original engine number so you can check the serial # on yours to see if it's a transplant.

I ran my 82 thru there, and found out both the engine and tranny were still the exact original units it rolled off the assy. line with.

Just to clarify, did you get the engine/tranny #'s from the Russian site, or from the car?
If you got them from the site, you need to look on engine and tranny and compare the #'s above.
Engine number is on head, just above IP towards the rear. I can't remember where the tranny # is.

just checked the engine #. its a match to the russian web site. how can you tell if it was originally manual or auto ?
