Gave it to my son, but he doesn't appreciate it, and I don't drive it enough.

I was at a yard today
 

Looking for a jeep part for a friend today , what I came across was a slightly scraped up 300 sdl ,it looks like some one ran it up along a gaurd rail but not total. After asking the yard help if it was available he said the engine and trans was already sold,damn ,a day late .

I know that car, it used to be John's, its in good shape despite the mileage.

John rolled on the miles real quick, on that one I remember when it rolled over 300k.


If you still have it this fall, I'll buy it for $3k. How does that sound?

This is John's 300SDL? What's his user name? Something like turbodiesel?

I remember his posts that listed the large number of repairs and maintenance he did on this car.

This car has a very thorough history.

Yeah he replaced a ton of parts! Its not a show car, but would make one heck of a driver.

This is Johns car. He did a good job taking care of it. You'd have to, to get that mileage and still run right.

No disrespect to John , but I took it up a couple of notches.

Front end.
vacuum elements
new starter and Gplugs last month.
New steering box

I must have at least 10k in the car if not more.

I was driving it today for the first time in couple of weeks and I am always impressed by the way that thing rides.

I really don't want to sell it and I am sure I will miss it, but it is not practical for me in my line of work and it just sits there day after day.

I've only put on 25 k in 3 years.

I had it on ebay and got close to the 3k, then my account got hijacked and some ahole lowered my "buy it now price" and ended the auction.

Luckily Ebay investigated and cleared it up, although I have to start over.

Ideally, I'd like to sell it to someone on the forum and keep tabs on her.
