300cd a/c ???????

Hey thar,

Ok, new comp, drier, exp. valve, flush, all up to snuff.
Compressor pumps with jumper wire yet I can never get it to run off the a/c controls.

Is this the famous control unit or is there a relay somewhere???

Thanx,
Dave

What year is the CD Dave?

My '83 SD has yet to turn on compressor. Not being told, is my assumtion, yet heat temp works. The '84 CD A/C works fine. Am interested in other responses. I understand there is a relay in the CCU.

Thanx for the quick help guys it is getting hot in Florida,
Hate to take a date out and have her sweat, at least in the car that is.

84CD . Got power to the pressure switch. just nothing to fire up the a/c clutch.

Thanx,
Dave

date sweating while you are only driving the car is not conducive to sweating in other settings...

Bad pressure switch???? Jump the wires going to the switch at the switch. If the compressor runs, it's the switch. If you have power to the pressure switch and the system has some refrigerant (pressure), sounds like the switch to me.

Yep pressure switch.

Funny thing tach has not worked in years. fixed the a/c and bam the tach works. Huh? weird.

Thanx everyone
Dave
