The gas pedal on my 82 SD gets stuck and I have to pull it back with my foot or it'll rev to 5000-6000. I've searched the forums and have found hints but no answers or solid guidance. I repaired the cruise control circuit board just before this happened. I was on the interstate with the cruise activated when the cruise/engine started stuttering. I disengaged it and some miles later the gas pedal started sticking.

All of the linkage is lubed and working properly. Help, especially from someone who's had this problem, would be much appreciated.
