Diesel fuel price less than gas

Today is the first day in years that I have seen gas prices higher than diesel at the same station. At one station gas $2.93 , diesel $2.90 . Both need to come down in the same ratio with diesel cheaper than gasoline.

A few days ago RUG went up to 1.859 and passed D2 which was at 1.699, however RUG has now slipped back to 1.829. Either way it is very nice to see things back in the correct direction.

Lance, Maybe it will still be nice for the trip to Tulsa in June?!?

I just bought some diesel at $3.14.9 a gallon. Regular was $3.18.9 a gallon. Its the first time in a couple years I have seen diesel cheaper.

What the heck! How can we be pushing $3.00 in the Northeast with our fuel and California is over $3.00 but Oklahoma is under $2.00! Is there no balance of commercial trade in the US? We got lobster up here..... that has got to be worth something! Lobster for Diesel Fuel....California must have something to through into the pot to barter with!!

Cheapest gas around Atlanta is $2.75, cheapest diesel is $2.65 at the QT where the semis fill up (which is pretty close to me)..

I paid 2.679 for diesel here in New Hampshire.

Gas is on average, about 2.90 a gallon. Diesel runs about 3 - 20 cents less than a gallon of regular around here.

Guys, it's not much of a mystery, check out the differences in taxes between states:

B100 here in Houston just took an unwelcome jump to $2.75. Prior to this week I had never paid more than $2.59.

Gotta quit dragging my feet on that WVO/SVO conversion.

Cheers, John

I got diesel at a truck stop last night for $2.80...minus my credit card discount...made it $2.70, gas was $3.25!! Oh, and the station which normally is quite busy, was EMPTY, I was the only person filling up at the trusty corner pump with diesel.

Disparity of Gas=Diesel Prices

'Here we go another "RANT".
Spool up the "Ole Time R+R" (like Joplin) @ 155 decibels so you can't hear the
WHINING!

Diesel, and it's cousins,Kerosene,JP5,JP8 are so far down the "Cat Cracking"
tower from Gasoline in energy expenditure to produce they should in all
rationality be 60 percent of the retail cost of Gasoline.

Unfortunately, the Refiners and Jobbers know that the cost of DIESEL is
in 99 percent of the cases passed onto the end consumer.
You and I pay one tenth of a cent more for each roll of toilet paper for each
$.25 cents of increase in #2 Diesel Fuel.

Independent truckers,Shrimp boat fishermen, and anyone else without the
ability to pass on the fuel costs are being driven out of business.

Yesterday,I had one of the senior executives of the largest Jobber in the
Southeast try to tell me that the price of domestic diesel is governed by
International trade prices.Example:I'm paying more for Diesel because
someone in Shanghai is filling a Diesel/Electric locomotive with #2D.

Pardon Me,BUT AROINT the Chinese Locomotive system.

The Chinese own 40 percent of our national debt already.
The Chinese cannot redeem U.S. currency for Gold or Silver.
#2 makes #1 a non issue.

If the Whores in Dallas and Houston (and London and at 1600 Pennsylvania)
are going to rape us over the price of fuel,at least give us a plausible
line of Bull****!

Sorry guys, those numbers up above should have been 2.xxx not 1.xxx

Just wishful thinking I guess!!!!!!

But it is correct that the variation in state taxes does make quite a bit of difference.

Spotted $3.80-3.90 gas prices in Los Angeles today.
Bio-Diesel was $3.32 last time I filled up.

Glad I only drive 20 miles a week and fill up on Diesel! This summer is going to be brutal!

Thumbs up Diesel cheaper here in West Virginia as well....

Folks,
I posted a similar comment in another related "Fuel Price Thread" a couple of days ago......I filled up last Wednesday at Fairview Exxon in Smithburg, WV.....Diesel was $2.89......Regular Unleaded Gasoline $3.05......Mid Grade Gasoline $3.15.......and High Test/Ethyl/Premium was $3.25.......as I noted in the other post, I was pleasantly surprised that Diesel was finally getting cheaper than Regular Unleaded Gasoline......
