Not quite an Ebay "alert" but....

could some fellow diesel drivers do me a favor, go to http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=005&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=150120698571&rd=1&rd=1and tell me what you find.

I just listed this (not a car) and I don't know why I'm not finding it in the normal listings. If I, or others, can't find it in a few more hours I'm getting out my poison pen desk set and giving FleaBay a what for...:argue:

This is what I saw.

"Up for bids..

This is a ~1969 to early 1970s vintage Swiss made Autavia Heuer GMT Automatic Chronograph. It is in the RARE left handed crown position (but it is easily worn on either hand.) It was serviced about two years ago by a master watch maker in Germany (uhrmacher meister) who is a friend of my family. It has kept perfect time since then. His opinion was, "All it really needed was a cleaning. It seems to have never been in sea water." When I asked him how watertight it is, he said, "NO! don't swim with it - you'll drop it!!" and I kept it dry since. They were designed to withstand about 100 meters.

Because it is an auto chronograph it NEVER needs batteries or winding. The movement of your body while wearing it keeps it ticking. However, it will stop after 36 to 48 hours of not being worn. Simply reset the time and put it on.

Many people know TAG Heuer but often asked me if it's a copy....NO, not at all. Heuer was a well known Swiss watch company long before the corporate merger and/or issuance of public stock. This watch was made at that time, when master craftsmen plied their trade in a workshop and no robot was to be seen on an assembly line.

This watch is made with a solid, durable stainless steel case and band, engraved with both serial and original registration numbers at the band attachments.

You are seeing the photos correctly, it has FOUR main hands, plus two stopwatch hands-sweep second, 30 minute (one min increments) and a 12 hr. (30 minute increments) sub-faces (start-stop and reset opposite the crown) for flying, sailing, etc. for SIX hands total.

The extra green hand is the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) hand set by the bezel and it rotates once every 24 hours.
The six 'o clock position is the date display window.

When wearing this watch it will seem heavy for its size - about 5 oz. (almost 145 grams.) as it was designed to last and no doubt will continue to last far into the future.

It is in very good condition for its age, keeps perfect time but is showing wear and tear with nicks, scratches etc. I am not the original owner and, in my opinion, the band clasp has been replaced sometime ago.

This watch needs NOTHING but a proud, new owner as it has many more years of perfect service to come.

Sorry, no pay pal at this time check/m.o. accepted, please allow bank clearance time.
Shipping and insurance options vary. Email for more information. Handling cost listed INCLUDES insurance valued at the "buy it now" price."

I have noticed that ebay holds out of the search engine newly listed items. it takes 8 to 12 hours before keyword searches will yield items... kinda sucks don't it.

Here's a bit of friendly advice. Inclusion of the text, "like Rolex, Hamilton, Patek Philippe, Breitling" in the listing might well be considered to be "keyword spam" by eBay.

You know, that thought crossed my mind but I was NOT able to edit it.

OH- just found out why...

It should end "But we're more than willing to charge your time until then."
I'm not sure when they started doing this but it wasn't long ago.
