Diesel purge question
I'm getting ready to do a purge and am wondering if replacing the spin-on filter afterwards is necessary. I just replaced the filter 2,000 miles ago and would hate to throw it away if I don't have to. I was planning to replace the in-line filter, though that is new as well.

The DP will really gunk up the filter, I would plan to replace it. you may want to put a cheapo on first before the DP and then put your recent one back in when the DP is done.

Where would you get a cheap one? I would think the dealer is going to carry one grade only.

any autoparts store will carry the prestone or fram equivalent for around 4.00
