WHo's got R-12 ????

I have a new 81 SD that is not blowing cold.

SO I drove to the AAP figuring I would get a can of 134A & checked for the conversion sticker when I got there.

I am extremely happy to see none of the PO's sold out. BUt Now I need to get a can or 2 of old R12.

ANyone have a lead?

Thanks,

AA

My local O'Reilly's sells it. They're the only auto parts store around here that does. They sold it for $40 a can last season. So far I haven't needed any this season. Other than that I bought off ebay. Plenty to be had there. I think I averaged about $30 a can last season. Again, I haven't priced any yet this year.

I am checking and there seem to be alternatives like freeze 12 and others.

Are any of these also worth using & safe to use?

Thx.

Do be aware the light pattern on those is set for driving on the wrong side of the road. You will end up shining light in oncomming drivers faces.
