Hi, the problem i have with my mercedes c250 1998 diesel automatic, which i purchased recentley, and was very happy with it, but unfortunatley after the repairs were done on the vechile (as it was an accident repaired vechile) when I took off the garage, I realised that the vechile was not shifting gears, even if i tried to do it manually, it still didn't work and it stays stuck on gear 2. I have come across this problem years back, also with a mercedes C class petrol and the problem was not resolved when i took it to the mechanic and i ended up paying £500 for something that they could not fix. I would really appreciate if some one has come across something like this before, and knows what might the possible cause and the possible solution for this issue.

Sounds like it is in "limp home mode". You'll need a MB dealer quality scanner to read trans codes.
