Cool ride.

Henry, Porsche makes 2X turbo diesel 911 over in Europe I am told. No slug either as you'd imagine from a 911.

No sir. The 911 only comes with horizontally opposed gas engines.

Not really applicable to the G50 gearbox. For the 915 and 901, yes, but for the G50 not so much.

I am keeping the diesel after all!!!! My wife and I talked it over. We really love the car, its paid for and it runs great. We can use it to run errands and I can drive it in the rain unlike my other purchase Looks like I won't be going anywhere after all

Except for the four Porches the Viper and the ice cold AC, thats exactly how I feel about my 81 300SD. I especially like the cop invisibility factor

I'd really like a 911- but I have two fast gassers already- and one has the same beauty/timeless score as the 911- my 560SL (plus it rides better, and it's paid for) BTW-true invisibility requires a w123 diesel wagon. Everything else is just cloaked.

Good call. I daily drove my 911 for a year. Two speeding tickets and 30,000 miles later, I went back to a cloaked 300SD. Drove it faster on the road and never got busted. They are great cars, and can be daily driven, but you will always be more comfortable and safer commuting in a W123. BTW, the 911 is the same size as a miata, they just look bigger because the windshield sticks up about 3" higher. Makes you think a bit when you pull up next to an 18 wheeler, and its tire dwarfs you.

A G50 Carrera will also not devalue one bit if miles are kept low. It might actually increase in value. They are the most desirable of the Carreras (84-89), or dare I say any N/A Porsche made between 74 - 94.

Ohh 911's are sexy!

I know someone who has a 2002 with a bunch of RUF mods. It drives by and you can hear the turbo's whine, and the exhuast is orgasmic!

Porsche their is no substitute!
