I brought her home on 11-30-2005 with 185,353 on the clock. Now she has 213,650 as of right now so that makes 28,297 miles in about a year and a half, so a little over 14k a year. My brother put about 15k on it before I bought it from him so its been in the family for about 45k.

The gf was just asking me last night how long I planned on keeping it. I told her at least through college, maybe another 3-5 years until I can get settled into a career. Then I'd like to get a new TDI. I'll never go back to gassers. The only one I'll have is my bimmer and it has sentimental value bc it was my first car.

Bought the '84 with 190K just over three years ago, should change my sig, it is now at 361K.
I have only put 3K or so on the '85 in the 15 months since I brought it home, currently reads 198K (197,952). I had identified needed repairs and bought most of the parts a year ago this month. I blossemed out with a nasty case of siatica (sp) before the parts got here and had to put the project on hold. Finally got started last weekend, front end is finished; glows, ball joints, struts, brakes (rotors, pads, calipers) bearings, driveshaft carrier, engine & tranny oil & all filters, new fuel lines and hoses front to back and new exhaust. Car is still in the air with rear end oil draining. Next weekend will be complete rear brakes, including parking brake cables, shocks, rear end fluid and she will be ready to roll.

I bought the SDL in 2004 with about 233k on it, now its up to just over 259k.

Most of those miles were done in the first two years. Last year I only put 5,100 miles on it, and will probably do about that this year.

Less than a year and 21k on the '85 when i bought it 3 1/2 yr's ago.

Three years and 98K on the '99.

The 85 hasn't been driven more than 10 miles since I got the '99; while I like it for many reasons, there is really no comparrission between the two.

Have put ~320k miles on other MB diesels and a quick 150K on a E320 before owning my current diesels.

589k MB miles total and way to many 'other make" car miles to count.

Bought Fritz two years ago this coming September with 159,xxx and now have 201,000 miles. About 500 miles a week now and probably more with the current price differential between diesel and gas.

Mileage

51,000 in not quite 3 years --- brakes are still good, did the top of the front end and front shocks. Needs a new starter & the PS pump leaks. AC needs a rework. Otherwise, it's a boringly reliable daily driver .... like I hoped it would be.
