Gasket missing at drain pipe?
I have an oil leak coming from a pipe that enters the oil pan on my 82 300D. No, I'm not talking about the infamous turbo drain, but the metal tube that runs from the bottom of the air cleaner assembly, snakes around the turbo, and terminates at the oil pan. It feels pretty loose, and can slip off the nipple protruding from the oil pan pretty easily. Is there some sort of gasket missing that's providing a loose, leak prone connection?
Thanks, -Joe

No,only an o-ring at the nipple on the top of the oil pan flange, same size as the dipstick.
And if the oil separator drain tube is loose, better check it, those things will bang around and develop wear spots that could eventually wear through.
