dynamite,

Did U drain the torque converter? Maybe that's why U only got 4 quarts out.

How could Klaus only drive in firdt gear? It would be screaming at 26 MPH.

I don't get it...I've never gotten, nor have I ever expected to get any kind of tools with any vehicle purchased. I've never provided any either, unless they happen to have been accidientally, forgotten.

P.E.:

i got 4 quarts out of the tranny AND TQ! the thing didnt shift cos there wasnt anything in it ... what little there was was like brown jello. I was a little nervous about the condition of the trans at that point, but after a new filter and fluid, she seems to be ok

as for "not getting it" -- the point wasnt that i wanted free tools, it was there were friggin SAE tools in a Benz! ick! I cant put a lot of faith in the maintenance skills of a person who keeps unacceptable tools in his road kit.

I would not sweat a 1/2'' they would be fine on a 13mm most of the time
3/4 sorta works on a 19mm too

if you can find x/32 or even x/64 sets you can cover most mm bolts

btw big lots sells mm sockets [impacks] cheap for desent tiawan tools
and swap meets are a good place to find better bigger sockets
and wrenchs
