How to fix the seatbelt retractor,or fix it another way?

On my W124, the seatbelt does not retract the whole way often times. I previously tried to see if I could fix the retractor (I couldn't), and found out it's wired with pyro, so I left it alone. However, it does seem to retract with an ok force, obviously could be better, but the friction at the seatbelt clip (where it has to loop over that plastic piece) is slowing it down.

Since I can't figure out how to fix the retractor, is there anything I can do on that plastic clip? I could lube it where the belt comes over it, but then I'd get lube all over my shirt each time I buckled up. Any other ideas? I wish they had an easy adjustment to make the retractor pull with just a bit more force.

Thanks,

when those seatbelts go

they are so "over" engineered, I thinks its better to go to a Junkyard and get a replacement. If u are not into junkyards call around on carparts.com. Some people are reasonable and honest and fair..
