1983 300SD Turbo

I just got this car and it saddens me i love it for sure but its so slow 0-60 in just under 18 seconds :( what should i do to get some power out of this thing?? ive been reading that maybe fuel filter changes will help. what about exauhst?? even air intake? anything will help me.

o yea whats thee stock boost and could i turn it up safely with a boost controller as long as i get a gauge so i dont kill the car?

See that you are getting boost to the aneroid by teeing in after the overboost protection switchover valve. Boost should be close to ten psi.

If there is none there check the switchover valve for restiction and the hollow bolt coming out od the intake.

the car has boost you can feel it pull its just is a dog off the line well even all the time. can i hook up a boost controller and gauge?? whats the highest i should boost with stock settings?

Yup, it's an '83. The torque convertor is much too tight. Hold your foot on the brake and floor the "gas" pedal. What RPM do you see on the tach?

Search the archives for "adjusting aneroid".
