Accelerator Linkage Adjustment
606,910
Hi Does anyone know the correct way to adjust the accelerator linkage and cable in relation to the kick-down cable which may also need adjusting. Basically I want to get these two things set up right - acceleration and kick-down Cheers Adrian |

It would be necessary to know what you are working on first!

Yeah, but aren't the linkage adjustments different depending on where the car was originally sold and by model? My 300D U.S. version is totally different than a Californial version for instance.

Probably. I don't know much about the 60X engines. From his love of the Sex Pistols (and his indicated location) he is probably dealing with a UK engine.

Sorry for any misleading questions. It's a 1994 E300D with a 606,910 box. I am in the UK, the Pistols were a bag of ****e, John Lydon is a ****** and I want to squeeze as many horses out of my motor as possible. Oh and sod the emissions - it's all a con anyway as a matter of fact "it's a swindle"
Seriously I have read that it is quite important that the accelerator, bowden and kick-down are set correctly in relation to each other or the gear changes wont happen when they should. So before I start messing I was hoping that someone could point me in the right direction. Cheers, Adrian PS Who did kill Bambi?? |
