I picked up a new OVP today...the new one has an additional pin...what do I do with it so it goes in the socket? Chop it off?
thanks,

Wrong OVP relay, you need the correct one.

Even the one on Fastlane has the extra pin. Same PN as my old original one. However, upon closer inspection, the diagram on the side of the new relay shows the extra pin and one of the other pins are both "87"s - I'm going to go out on a limb and assume they're the same output, and newer models need the signal to go to two different places.

Then it is likely that the socket has a hole there with no electrical contact, you should be fine.

Uh, no. That was the problem, the new one didn't go in. I chopped the extra pin. It went in fine after that.
Tach works a little better but still not 100%. I'm going to not worry about this for now.
