Leaking on my feet
My son ended up driving my '84 190D with a shredded surpentine belt which ended breaking, the car of course over heated and he pulled over and said that antifreeze dripped all over his feet. I've since replaced the belt and when I start it up and let it run with the heater on is will drip onto my feet.
Is this a heater core problem or could it be something easier? How much stuff (dash, etc) has to be taken apart to replace a heater core? I phoned a shop and they said about $1300 to fix it. Seems alot for a $200 part...... Thanks in advance.. |
the labor is what they are killing you with. i ahve not taken the dash out but i hear it is an 8 hour jo to get out. there is a guy here (Dmorrison i think) that has done it and will moslt likely chime in. he is good with the dash questions.

Check the hoses to and from the heater core first.
