Mr. Lincoln
(77300D) Got the transmission pulled, a friend rebuilt it for free, reverse band and gaskets, front seal, all other seals (master rebuild kit from Dacco plus book $273) got it back in this morning, everything is fine, shifts good, backs up good, very smooth, total cost for parts and labor$700. Alas, the !!!!!!!! plastic radiator started a small leak behind the fan shroud, thus best price I could find for OEM was from SASPO, in FL, $252 including shipping, thus Fri, I will put new radiator in, have new bielstiens, rear sway bar links, Michelins, water pump, fan clutch, electronic servo replacement and thermostat, or about $2300, in the car. Most money that has been spent on it since I bought in in 77. Pray the motor doesn't blow???? And have rear pads to install.

I don't know how many miles you have on it, but if you maintained it well you will probably get 20 more good years out of it. I wish I had had one from new. I hope you are using synthetic oil now....
