I saw a very nice '81 300td turbo in Simpsonville this past week. The car is very nice, straight, and clean. I called the owner and he gave me the info. The car has 213,000 actual miles. He has all service records for the past twelve years. The car has been maintained by a local Independent MB repair center, Beemers(sp) & Benz and the owner of the car told me I was more than welcomed to talk with them concerning the car. The A/C works, matter of fact everything works. The car does not burn oil between changes per the owner. It is yellow with tan (palomino?). The tires are good. I did not hear the car run but the car does look impressive. The owner was offered $4500 and turned it down. He said he would take no less than $5000. I do not know this person and have nothing to gain from the sale of this car. I just like to pass along information to the great folks on this forum. Email me for the owner's contact info. It may be later in the day tomorrow before I can get that to you but I will do my best.

On another note I will be parting out a few MB's this Friday. From what my supplier told me there should be a few 123's and a 126. I no longer own a truck to transport larger items so I can only try to find smaller parts. Please get your list together and email me. If you email me more than once please use the same email address to keep down confusion. Last few times I tried to put together orders I had few folks that emailed me with about two or three different addresses and it got rather confusing keeping the parts lists orderly.
Parts are cheap!!! When I had a truck to haul them in I could get an entire complete engine and tranny along with other parts. lots of parts, for $100. I have connections. I just try to recoup my time and travel expense. This is a passion not a business for me. If I can test the parts for funtionality I will but some parts I cannot. I will be fair to you on parts. Send me your list and I will get you a price. Also, if there is a Chip Mefford out there then please contact me.
