Opinion of using Amsiol ATF in W210 power steering pump?
If I drain the PS system complete by disconnecting the lines at the rack to drain could I do any harm in using Amsoil synthetic ATF? Would it work fine yet?

I'd probably just use power steering fluid.

Don't these newer models specify the special MB "juice"?

Yes, the special MB "juice" is specified for this car. It's also a full synthetic, and isn't really all that expensive, considering how little of it is actually in the car.
How much does the Amsoil ATF cost? The MB fluid is about $15/liter. The pump costs an arm and a leg. The rack costs an arm and two legs. |
