acc belt tension pully cockeyed
Would it be safe to assume the lower portion of the tension assembly part# G6002-32871 being worn out or damaged is the reason for the angled pully? The pully sits at a different angle than all the other pullys. Is it the bearing that goes out or the bolt that bends,I sure hope the timing chain cover isnt damaged. Some of the treads I read were scary and people were replacing belts and parts left and right, and belts being shredded.I have searched quite a bit but don't want to rush out and buy unnecessary parts.Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Replace the pulley. It does wear out with age. There is a bearing internal to the pulley. The bolt is not usually the issue.
While you are at it, the tensioner bearing might be considered for replacement as well. |
