Blinking Glow plug light

It is that season of the year agai.
Texas late spring thunder storms. I was caught in a storm the other day with the 116d which has a leaky windshield. Apparently something got wet and the alternator stopped charging. Now the glow plug light blink upon turning the car on and the engine does not start (even with a fully charged battery).

What does that blinking means?

How is your glow plug relay fuse? Any loose connections to Glow Plugs?

i am not any help with the relay either. but when my GP light was blinking on my 116 a few of the GP's were bad. i would say unless your in a cold climate right now and atleast 2 of your GP's are bad (one of them being the number one cyl) the car should eventually start.
