I am a scavenger though, use what I can. Would at least like to try out a used but working 3/2 valve before I drop the money so I know it makes some difference
Last Pick n Pull visit I struck out, only one car had a 3/2 valve left and it didn't hold vacuum, doh.

Don't worry about the 3/2 valve. Just drive it and observe it's downshift behavior. Instead of having no vacuum, it will have high vacuum when the vehicle slows down and downshifts. Observe the symptoms of such a change and post the results.

You don't have any 3/2 valves that affect the transmission. Your valves are EGR related......exclusively.

oh. well then nevermind... I do have a vac hose that exits the black box and goes into a tee with the green vac resistor. along with the hose that goes to the EGR and to the main Vac line... perhaps it was hooked up incorrectly before I got the car?

Two of the three lines exit the black box and head for T's over near the side of the engine. Both lines can be eliminated. Remove the T's and connect the remaining two lines with a short piece of vacuum hose.

cool, I can have a spare tee for later! I just stuck bb's into fittings and plugged the tees. and left the hoses where they were. it still looks basically stock since we have visual inspection in our wonderful county... I thought it wise to keep it looking stock.

Wonder if they would be sharp enough to see the black box without any connections to it...........
