By the way, the reason I may drive the 500 is because my wife wants to come and we are not getting any younger. On a long trip (about 350 miles for us) we like the A/C turned down and the seat heaters turned on. The heat makes the trip a lot more enjoyable. The 300D rides fine but it cant hold a candle to the 500 on a long trip. Looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing everyone's MB.
As far as I am concerned, all are welcome. Even people that are just interested.

If no one wants the tour, no problem on my end. We can just meet for lunch or whatever and talk cars.

ZOIKS you are right about their pricing...... $3.50 per gallon and you need to be a "member". Plus they are taking the WVO that I am trying to get

But yep sounds good I'm in no hurry. I always have more work to do on my rig. July 7 sounds good to me I guess.

Hmmm I know a guy in Raeligh that could supply some bio D I think. Might be the same guy but I know (goes by Captain Morgan....think his name was morgan) he odesn't work for piedmont any more even though I think he used to.

Hmmm paying for a tour sounds kinda lamo. I'm a buisness/marketing and entrepreneur major so sounds like a case of Hippie mentality or some smart folks taking advantage of an already good situtation. Not only are some of you probably going to fill up there with their outrageous prices (I'm assuming as I have yet to see anyone do it cheap) and then on top of that you will go and spread the great word about their product to others. Sounds like good enough incetive to me. If they were really good they would give you some free stickers for your windows and some to give out to your freinds. But again Hippie mentality seems to look in the short term of making 2 dollars on a sticker instead of the free advertisment and money that would come in from people knowing about it. It always seems like they have this (we are saving the world give us money mentality)

But I'm just crass today. In a really bad mood for some reason. so that was my two cents.

I cannot make the 7th...I really wanted to come. That is really a bummer. I have been waiting for this for over a year. I will be on a mandatory conference trip to D.C.

Dang...

Hey Dazsa.. dont worry. I am prime for having impromptu Saturday morning get togethers. I am new to the area and would not mind learning more about other places. And you arent that far away!

Now where are they guys with the beach properties???? Lets start planning that one too!

Cherry Grove Beach would be available the 14th, or 21st of july (really, any weekend this summer) I may plan it for the 7th if a GTG falls through in Raleigh.

CD has been in my Benz since it came out. Between that and the sun roof, my wife is loving the car all of a sudden

Did you make it to the Raleigh Art Museum show?

Crap. Got a gig on the 7th. If we do it down here somewhere or it's early enough in the Raleigh area I think I can make it.

Hmmm maybe further out than the 7th????

Is there a way to put up 2 dates and see where the most people can come in poll. Sounds like the 7th is a busy day for a lot of folks but then again other days may be the same. The hardest part of putting one of these together is finding when the most people can come if you are a utiliatarian

Hey I'm watching this thread grow with all the local members, great stuff. I will keep an eye on the dates, just plan a lunch or something, somewhere and maybe then we can plan more gtg's.

hey, extra incentive for a GTG!!! I am trying to buy a 50 lb cylinder of $$R12
R-12, anybody in Charlotte area wanna go in with me on a 50LB jug?
I can bring the equipment to a GTG and work on A/C charge or top off a/c systems! I need assistance with the money to purchase the tank, but 14.00 a pound is better than the 35 to 70.00/lb most garages want to charge to work on R-12 systems!
give me a PM or just respond to my posting and I am making a list to see if I can get a can.

ok, update, I got a 30LB jug for less than 10.00/lb, so it's available at the gtg when it gets finalized! PM me!
