Battery idiot light stays on?
The other day I found my battery completly discharged in the morning.
I completly charged it the car ran fine, alternator charged fine. But, when you turn off the car the battery light on the instrument cluster stays on... What going on?

Try pulling the voltage regulator off. It's one the back of the alternator. It may be time for a new one. The brushes on a new regulator should be close to an inch long. If they are much less than a half and inch I would put in a new one.

It's your backout diode aka rectifier. It allows power to flow back through the system when the car is not running. On a W126 a very common side affect is the antenna will stay up (or go up when the battery is re-connected). The part is cheaper than a brush pack -
