Found a torn hose...
Hey guys...
In my '83 300D- popped the hood, working on tranny problem, I noticed that a large hose, connecting to the firewall on the passenger side, was torn almost completely through. I want to order a replacement, but don't know what this would be called. Is there a diagram that actually resembles what is under the hood? So I would really know what I am looking at, and what everything is called? These "NASA schematic"-type diagrams make my head hurt! Is there anything that is user-friendly out there? Thanks guys. |

There are two drain hoses on the firewall. They drain the water out of the cowl vents.

Those are some pretty big hoses for just plain old drainage.
Thank you! |

Is it the one by the battery in this picture?
The cowl vents also collect rainwater runoff from the car's roof. I apologize for not reducing the picture size, I'm not using my normal computer. |
