4 speed manual transmission; with 15" ronals ; & French style Euro headlights....

I am getting the 4spd from a forum member Bruce in Ohio.
It comes out of a 240D that ran out of oil in the engine...

Check R Leo threads for how to do the step by step.

I am interested to find out how the 4 spd will do behind the turbo.
I was under the impression that was not a good combo......

Its an easy conversion. Assuming you have 300D drive shaft linkage and tran crossmember. Nothing that cant be shortened or fabricated otherwise. I dont suggest a 2.88 rear end with manual. Other than that its ok. 0-60 is probably a bit slower depending on your syncros. The things you can do that you can't do in an automatic far outweigh the negatives. You may want a double plate clutch if you are running > stock power...

Can I do a four or a five speed conversion, on my 82 280 CE Euro..?

If I can locate the parts, I'll jump right into the job.

I just have a feeling they will not be very easily acquired...
