Smile Best Fix Yet

Just thought I would share my latest job that exceeded my expectations.

There are some very good write ups on the viscous fan clutch removal and adding the toyota viscous fluid.

After tackling this job I can say that my temperature has dropped from normal hot day driving of 100 degree's down to about 82 degree's. I had been close to 120 degree's twice and it really scared me and my #14 head.

I can now idle in traffic with the a/c on and not watch the temperature rise to the point that I have to turn off the a/c, blast the heater and try to find some open road to cool the engine off.

It seems that I had no fluid in the clutch and at normal temp idle I get much more air flow from the fan.

Anyone else want to share on their best fix?

Cheers,
York

Getting the old fluid out is easy. If you need new fluid the old fluid is already out. If you fan is not engaging then you are low or out of fluid. I have seen the write up, but I don't remember where it was. I think GSXR did one on it.

I'm not sure about your models but these threads told me what I needed to do for my 124 model.

Enjoy.
