My 124s and 201s have white stickers with the VIN on them on every body panel; trunk lid, hood, doors, bumper covers, ... might be a US thing but worth looking. Open the trunk and see if there's a sticker staring at you.

1. The number you gave is indeed a VIN. It starts with "WDB," the manufacturer's code, then continues with "124.120," the chassis code.
2. The russian MB site is not limited to MBUSA information. Do a thorough check of the car, and make a list of all the VIN's you find. The first place I would check to cross-reference with the A-pillar tag is the manufacturer's tag on the driver's side B-pillar.

As per Mercedes WIS, "124.120" is the correct chassis code for a W124 200D with the 601.912 (4 cyl N/A) engine.

According to EPC you rear sway bar bushings are:
Standard suspension 124 326 0581 or SLS suspension 201326 1081 - non-sports package or 124 326 0581 woth the sports package...
