Cooling System for 1995 E300 Diesel
The fans on my cooling system aren't kicking in when the engine's temperature rises! One fan comes on just fine but the other fan never kicks in. If the car is stopped at a stop light the temp reaches 100C and the car begins to pulsate. Is there a way to fix the second fan without replacing the entire unit? Please help!

on my 96 there is only one fan motor and a belt that links the two together. If yours is the same check the little belt.

belt
No belt connecting the aux fans on the 95. Is your fan clutch ok?

When hot, the clutch should engage (lock up) and air flow should increase dramatically with RPM. If it doesn't roar at 100C it is not locking up.
When cool, the fan is free spinning and its pull is virtually nothing and the fan blades can actually be stopped.
