thebenzbin.com Genuine MB Floormats - Liars!

My 300TD has floormats that makes it an embarrasment to drive friends around in. I came across thebenzbin.com site a few months ago and saved it in my bookmarks for the day that I would finish screwing around with the AC and other mat staining projects.

the link is this one : http://www.thebenzbin.com/floor_mat.html

I thought what a sweet deal, $98 for 4 genuine MB floormats (I'm quoting the language of the site).

Called them today to order. Clearly just a domain name to reel in MB owners as they asked me which site I was talking about. The customer service person then proceeded to tell me that they had no genuine MB floormats, just the customs that will fit the various models.

So told them to take the page down or get a call from the FTC.

On a positive note, anyone know of someone selling OEM floormats or is that stealership only? I'll settle for customs, but damn those OEM's look good.

kinda the same

i got the run around there one time. i wanted one of those parts that says "call for a price" when you look it up and the operator i got said that they didnt have it...my memory is kinda spotty on this but i did feel like they never had it to begin with,

however

i did purchase the OEM all season floor mats from them (custom fit, black, thick rubber with the honecomb recesses and the star logo). here is the story, i had been eyeing these rubber mats for awhile at the dealer. one day i decided to buy them and the dealer said that they didnt have them for my car anymore (i have a 124.133, PLEASE!) so i went to the benzbin. i got the exact same thing the dealer had, price was like 10$ less.

but

i will say that the benz bin has loads of mats, it takes finding them...and yea when i called i didnt feel like thebenzbin was their one and only site.

for what its worth...

www.************************ doesn't have the best customer service and a forum member is still sorting out returning a wrong AC compressor, but they sell original MB mats.

I have bought some from Sixto's suggestion. http://stores.ebay.com/Hammersley-BMW-Mercedes-Benz

Last order everything was to expectations. $95.62 to door and that was $21 cheaper than local dealer. I actually have another set enroute for the SDL since the accident with the originals two days before the TX GTG . Fortunately no one noticed I had BMW mats in it
I am not a big fan of Performance Product as they will not tell you if something is in stock or not and that is not to my liking.

I got mine form them. I have an original set in the back of my car so only needed the front set. The color matches but thats where it ends. Different backs and different carpet weave, so they really aren't OEM's.

Just my 2 cents.....

Cheers,

Bill

awesome, thanks for the replies. Ebay guy looks the business. I'll give a try.

As for thebenzbin, maybe they sold them a while ago, but clueless customer service lady couldn't seem to find them anymore. I sent sales a mail.

Just buy a set from the dealer. I am sure I paid less than $100 for a set from the dealer for the SDL.

Sometimes it costs more to shop around.

They fit great, but at least mine are now going on year three and showing some wear.

Yup, that's Hammersley BMW MB. It's the real McCoy. If you have an "L" in that name badge make sure you tell them - the back mats are bigger.

Just got mine today too (from ebay). Wow what a difference they make in the interior look of the car. Like a million bucks.

Picked up a new set from the dealer this week. A set of 4 palomino floor mats for my 83 300D were $98 +tax. Not a bad price, I was expecting that a piece from the dealer.
