84 300D Steering Wheel

I just recently aquired ( sounds fancy ( : ) ok bought an 84 MB 300D and I notice that when getting into the drivers seat it can be a bit tricky in that I have to tilt my leg at an angle to get it under the steering wheel and over to the right side of the drivers' seat. I pulled the horn cover off to see if I could maybe adjust it somehow but to me it does not look like it was made to adjust. Can I adjust this steering wheel up more so that it will free up more room for me to be able to easily move into the drivers seat? I noticed a large allen wrench fastner that seems to be holding the steering wheel in place but it looks like it is keyed in that there are two small circles at the bottom of the inlay where the fastener tightens. What are these two small circles used for - keying? Ok
That's my ?s
Thanks!

The driver seat adjuster is probably in the fully raised position. Release the seat adjuster handle at the front of the seat and move the seat fully forward, then lift up on the lever on the left side of the seat and push the seat fully rearward. That should lower the seat. Or remove your leg! and get a smaller diameter wooden one!
