ALDA banjo bolt on 603 engine

I have located the ALDA and realized I really do not what to try to take it out and "mod" it. This is simply because I don't have experience with cars other then changing fiilters and maybe some other DIY stuff, but I would like to clean the banjo bolt screw for the ALDA because I'm sure its completely dirty.

Dieselgiant.com has a great tutorial for it... for a 617 engine though, and it looks nothing like my 603. Just hoping I could find a 603er here who has done it and could help me, thanks)

All done.

The 603 doesn't have a banjo bolt. It can sometimes clog the overboost protection valve, but, even that's not common.

If you've got proper 0-60 performance, the lines are clear.

Take the "vacuum" line off the fitting in the intake manifold. The fitting just unscrews. Clean it out very well and reinstall. If there is oil in the vacuum line either replace or clean out. Trace the line over to the the switchover and clean that out as well.

By disabling the EGR, cleaning out the manifold and crossover, and using Mobil 1 you can reduce the likelihood of the fitting clogging up again.
