Miles and Trip Odometer stoped on cluster.
 

Could anyone tell me how to fix the odometer, if the total miles and trip miles stopped around 8 years ago, but everything else seems to work?


Can it be fixed without getting an entire cluster? How would you fix it if I kept this cluster?



If I need an entire cluster how do I go about rolling back the miles, since it reads 180k and the inspection says 180k? (car just came up from FL 8 months ago)

Do a search on odometer repair
 

There are gears inside the odometer that can come loose from the shaft they ride on. Search for odometer repair. There is a good tutorial on how to fix this problem. In my case, a spring came off the trip odometer reset lever, but I never lost the regular odometer.
If you need a new speedometer let me know, I am going to the pick-a-part this week and there is a 300D in the yard...

If you do, make sure it's from another '85. The speedometers are axle ratio dependent. The '85's had different rear axle ratios from the other years.
