Hi, is Ken ***** there?
This is Ken.
This is Aaron. I was involved in your accident this morning and I was wondering how you're doing.
Well, I'm OK, but I can't work for a week.
: Oh, sorry to hear that.
....

:Uh, well I hope you get better soon.
Ok, bye.

He didn't ask how I was, how my passenger was, how my car was, didn't thank me for using my car as a giant wheel chock, nothing. I'm a little bitter. If someone's car kept mine from rolling into rush-hour traffic I'd never stop saying thanks.
Why would you take such a good and generous deed and make it into such a bad thing? A deed done with expectation of reward is not a good thing.
Besides the guy is in the hospital maybe he has more important things on his mind?

I wouldn't worry about the guy... i would file a calm with the insurance company and see what they say. i know the Mercedes is tough... i got into a little accident in my car back in high school. did 3k of damage to a dodge ram, and 200$ of damage to the Mercedes... its built in the spirit of a Panzer Tank... but with better seats

I hope things work out for you. and just keep in mind. you paid some into the karma pot. you'll be compensated. maybe not by that guy. but the world has a way of making it work out.

best of luck to ya, and I'm glad to share the road with ya!

Why did you even call the guy at all? You went above and beyond what you were obliged to do at the scene of the wreck. There was no need to do any more after that.

Don't verbally communicate with the person again. Any statements you made could inure to your disadvantage.

You now know that whatever happened to you or your car, in this accident, is as much concern to him as the bottom of his shoe. Not entirely unsurprising, as sympathy for other motorists would not be a consideration for people with epilepsy, drunk drivers, cell phone abusers or speed demons, who chose to drive.

Therefore, any compensation to you for your vehicle or any injury of any kind should be pursued vigorously, remorselessly, and without regard to any cries for sympathy or leniency.

The individual is an adverse party. It is strictly business. Keep it that way.
