Sunroof parts swap
 

Hey all,

I have a power sunroof in my 79 240D. When I bought the car, the sunroof was inoperable, but the guy gave me a new cable and said it just needed to be ran. Anyway, there must be a kink in the tube somewhere. I have the cable, never used, and a perfectly good used sunroof motor in my trunk. I stuck the threaded end of the cable into the back end of the motor and it moved it just fine.

Anyway, I would like a manual sunroof, and would be willing to give the cable and motor (read: $$$) to anyone who would give me ALL the parts I need to convert it to a manual roof. Any takers, PM me please and I will get back to you.

Note: I can't guarantee any of the parts. The cable has been sitting in a bag for about a year, and although it's never been used, its been tossed around a lot and looks a little twisted in one spot. I don't think there is anything wrong with it. I will get pictures if anyone is interested. Motor is still in my trunk.

find a TD in a parts yard, best place to get the stuff ya need.

Don't I know it.... Can't find a W123 around here in the junkyard to save my life, much less a diesel. At least in the pick and pull type yards. Anybody know a good yard around the KC/St. Joseph area in Missouri?
