Another cooling system post....this time hoses...!!
Or to be more specific 1 particular hose......up to this week Roy/Phil/Fastlane/the sponsor of this forum did not have the little metric hose that goes between the water pump and the thermostat housing.....I know, I tried to order one awhile back.....so I took Roy's advice and I went to my local NAPA store with the thermostat housing assembly in hand and they could not supply me with a hose that fit well......what their computer says fits is a cut to length piece of inch sized hose, which does not quite make it, it's just a touch loose......I was ordering something else from Roy and mentioned my inability to locate a suitable piece of metric hose here in Central WV...and Roy said that they are now carrying this item, so I am typing this in order to pass this info along to you folks......apparently 1 meter if this hose costs somewhat over $100.00 and has limited use in other applications.....so the good folks at Fastlane have decided to purchase lengths of hose and cut them to the approximate 2" length that is needed....I was so happy that I didn't even ask the cost, just had him send me one....so I don't know the answer to the cost question that will surely pop up.....
Thank You, Fastlane folks.......now if you had 1 kilo boxes of Citric Acid.....!!! SB

I don't see it on the web site
I do not see that hose on the Fastlane web site. I would like to replace that hose as I am replacing all the others as part of my citric acid flush/ fill with the G05 antifreeze project. Can you send me the part number?
Thanks!!

Call Roy or Phil and they will take care of you. You won't be able to use the site even with the part number. |
