THinkin about buying this 190D
This guy has for sale locally a 1984 190D with 225K on it. Body and interior are decent good shape. this is what he said about the car
I"t will most likely need a new alternator soon or possibly it may be just the belt ac might just need a charge or a sensor switch, emergency brakes rub causing some noise while driving or so the previous owner said that is what it was... I have no clue on that! I drove it quite a bit but when the ac stopped working I decided that I would drive my pick up that the ac worked in" he's asking $1200 for it. what are your guys opinions of these cars? reliability? easy to work on?

I have an '86. Just replaced transmission, alternator and transmission oil cooler flex lines. Replaced seat a while back.
W201 is the red-headed stepchild of MB and a lot of folks look down on them. For me, I needed the fuel economy because it is my salesman's car. I love mine. $1200 is a steal.
