hard copy FSM's

I acquired a set of FSM's in a car purchase. They are:

S 2481 000
engines 615, 616, 617.91
for years 68- 80

How applicable is this for my 83 300D turbo?
What is the p/n for the FSM that covers mine?

chassis & bodies vol I & II, year applicability was not listed anywhere that I could find...kinda strange. did not find a p/n of the pub either. Anyone have a set of these?

There's a separate manual for the 617.95. Some things will be identical..........some won't.

But, the purpose of the manual is to educate you because you don't know the proper procedures and practices. So, by definition, you won't know which procedures are applicable and which are not.

All of the sections relating to turbocharging are not in the 617.91 manual, obviously.

If you need something specific, you can always borrow mine.

I lot of the info inside all of your manuals will work for just about any 123. There are slight differences in every year it seems like. But in general electrical system, vac systems, suspension, fuel system, etc are all close enough that they will work. If you are doing a critical eninge job you might want to get the engine manual for a turbo just to make sure you are torquing all the bolts to the correct torque, and things like that. But for general troubleshooting and repair it's a good source to have. And you got them free with the car!

The chassis & bodies vol I & II manuals will cover your car for everything other than the engine. You've got an excellent reference tool for your car.
