Justin,

The problem is one of your roof drains has shrunk and pulled back into the inside of the rocker area. Both front drains need to be sticking out of the rocker area and draining to the outside between the fender and the door.

You will need to get new drain hoses from MBZ, remove the old ones and replace them.

Its a simple job. You do not need to remove the door to do this. Some manuals say you need to.

I just replaced both drain hoses on my 87 300TD a few months back. We have a very good handle on how the water flows and if the drains are pulled back inside, the water will end up in the front floorboard first and migrate to the rear seat area as well.

HTH,

Don~

Don, you were correct. I hadn't even noticed the floors were getting wet until we got a serious rain storm last night. I've take off the front headliner fascia and I guess the next step would be replacing the drain tubes.

Do you think I can get away with getting some tubing from a hardware store or should I just stick with OEM? I just want to get this done ASAP so was hoping I could grab some tubing from the store since it's a Saturday.

Thanks for your advice and sorry I doubted you :(

I have recently encountered a sunroof leak water problem ( clogged or failed drain hoses ? ) on my 1990 300D W124 . Any more threads like this with pictures ? - Thanks
