Good deal?
So Yesterday I come across an ad in the local paper. mercedes 1977 300D for sale. Parked for last 11 years.
I sent them an email asking how much, what about rust etc. It's a german couple who own it. I didn't think much about it until I got a response this morning: It was parked when she got a new small vehicle. The husband was a body man, bought all the "brand new" parts needed to fix the rust, but never got around to it. quarter panels etc. Motor and tranny were in good running order when it was parked. Green, auto, 4 doors. They're asking about $400, parts included. Man, I just bought a replacement 1979 300D for $800. (This is Canada here). I've been told that I'd have to sell my current mercedes and the parts car if I wanted to buy this one... Grrr.... If anyone is looking for possibly a good deal in the interior of BC, let me know. I'm really contemplating the purchase... Maybe one of my brothers will pick it up.

Why not sell the parts car and use the $400 one as a parts car? That would be a fair compromise I think.

if those new panels are OE, they are worth quite a bit on their own. you may be able to use this car as a parts car and sell the panels for over 400.00...
