Yes

You should be using the MB stuff or the Zerex G-5. Of course until you stop the leak you can use what ever you want. It will be cheaper than the correct stuff.

Once you figure out the leak you need to figure out why you are running at 100. It could be the fan clutch. If you search on here there is a thread on refiling the fluid in the clutch. Some people have had luck with that. Is your electric fan coming on when and if you see 105?

90 is a little soon unless the A/C is causing it to come on low. It should come on high at 105 depending on which switch you have in it. Can you take a picture of the engine and post it?

I'm not sure why, but I had a feeling you still had the trap oxidizer on it. The silver football on the passenger side. There is a recall on that. MB will give you a new exhaust and get rid of that. Who has been servicing your car?

You can decide that for yourself. Do a Google advanced search with www.peachparts.com as the domain name. Search for trap oxidizer. You get a new free exhaust and possibly a new turbo, if the trap has ruined that as well. Mr. MB never mentioned the recall to you???

Yes, get the trap replaced ASAP. It should have been done 10 years ago.

It should be in their system as an active recall.

Yes, click on Buy parts at the top of this page. They support the forum that helped you.

http://catalog.worldpac.com/mercedesshop/sophio/quote.jsp?header=header.jsp&footer=&product=1245000949&partner=mercedesshop&baseurl=http://catalog.peachparts.com/&clientid=catalog.mercedesshop&cookieid=24S1DVKDU24T0YONNK

Order a new thermostat while you are at it. When you get the tank in, flush the system. You can find out how to do that on here too. Then put the correct fluid in it. Then get rid of the trap.

Chris
